China Cosmetic Regulation

As required by regulations, all cosmetics that are sold in the Chinese market from overseas (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) must be filed and approved by the National Medical Products Administration, to obtain the filing credential for imported ordinary cosmetics and special-use cosmetics must be registered and obtain the registration certificate  before declaring in customs and then marketing. Otherwise, severe penalties will be imposed.

ASEAN Cosmetic Regulation

The ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD) is a harmonized regulatory framework adopted by ASEAN member states to ensure the safety, quality, and claimed benefits of cosmetic products marketed in the region. Implemented since 2008, the ACD aims to eliminate trade barriers, simplify registration, and promote a consistent standard across countries. Under the directive, cosmetic products must comply with labeling requirements, ingredient restrictions, safety assessments, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Companies must also appoint a local company as the responsible person for product notification.

USA(MoCRA) Cosmetic Regulation

On August 7, 2023, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Issued Draft Guidance on Registration and Listing of Cosmetic Product Facilities and Products, which addresses the requirements for facility registration and product listing in the "Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022" (MoCRA) Explained. Cosmetics exported to the United States require facility registration and product listing.

EU&UK Cosmetic Regulation

EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 was officially announced on December 11, 2009. It is the main regulatory regulation for cosmetics placed on the EU market. It fully replaced the EU Cosmetics Directive (Directive No. 76/768/EC) on July 11, 2013. . Scope of application: In addition to EU member states, there is also the European Economic Area, namely Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

The UK Cosmetics Regulations were first introduced in 1978 and have been revised several times since then, most recently after Brexit in 2021. The current version of the regulation is based on EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 and includes additional requirements for the UK.
